This noncredit course focuses on the principles of nursing care necessary to meet the hygiene, comfort, and safety needs of patients in an acute care environment. Current CNA state certification required or a recent graduate of the Crafton Hills College CNA program pending certification can apply. Application and related forms are provided at the information session. This course is focused on practicing the skills in a lab environment prior to entering clinical.
- Credit Type: Noncredit course.
- Limitation on Enrollment: Must attend a mandatory information session. Once provisionally accepted, must attend a mandatory orientation, meet all health requirements, and pass a clear background check. Must be 18 years or older. No high school or GED required. Must be co-enrolled with CNA/N-631 and CNA/N-633. Must have an active CNA certificate to enroll unless just completing the Crafton Hills College CNA program within 1 month.(waives requirement of active CNA cert.
- Corequisite: CNA/N-631 and CNA/N-633.
