Fundamental principles of providing basic nursing care to meet hygiene, comfort, and safety needs of residents. Focus on developing effective communication, respecting resident's rights, and preventing and reporting resident abuse. The class follows the guidelines established by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Title 22, Chapter 5, Section 2.5.
- Credit Type: Noncredit course.
- Limitation on Enrollment: Must attend a mandatory information session, once provisionally accepted, must attend a mandatory orientation, meet all health requirements, and have a clear livescan fingerprinting. Must be 16 years or older. No high school or GED required. Must be co-enrolled with CNA/N-621 and CNA/N-623.
- Corequisite: CNA/N-622 and CNA/N-623.
