*You must complete the entire matriculation process (Application, Orientation, Assessment, Advisement with an Ed Plan), to receive and maintain priority registration. Please bring your lunch if you are completing Option 1.
All students who complete the following steps will be guaranteed “Priority E” status
(two steps higher
than open enrollment) for registration.
Follow the steps below and be ready to sign up for summer and/or fall classes with Crafton Hills College.
On Your Own:
You must complete the following steps before you come to One-Stop Registration on Saturday.
- Apply for Admission – Go to the Crafton Hills College web page and complete the application
for SUMMER or FALL 2018 admission. This process can be completed anywhere you have internet access. - Complete the Online Orientation – After you apply you will receive an email with your new
student ID number. Using this number, log on to Web Advisor through the Crafton Hills College
web page and complete the New Student Online Orientation. This process can be completed
anywhere you have internet access. Allow at least 60 minutes to complete this process. The
Online Orientation must be completed prior to taking the Assessment.
At Crafton:
Option 1: Assessment and Advisement
- Check In at 7:45 a.m. in the CCR (Crafton Center - Building 6) Foyer. Please have a valid picture
ID (California driver’s license, passport or 2017-2018 high school ID card) and student ID # ready
at check in. - Complete the Assessment from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the Roadrunner Cafe. Assessment will
begin
promptly at 8 a.m. All incoming students to Crafton Hills College are required to complete an
assessment to determine appropriate placement in English, mathematics and reading. If you
passed Integrated Math 1, 2, 3, or a higher level math and/or the SBAC test in English and/or Math (Early
Assessment Process) with a score of 4 (or a conditional score of 3), or an AP (Advanced
Placement test in math or English) with a score of 3, 4 or 5, multiple measures may be applied after the assessment. All students must bring a current copy of their high school transcript with
them to assessment and their CHC Student ID number. - Attend Advisement from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in CCR-219. Advisement will begin promptly
at
11:30 a.m. In a group setting, a CHC counselor will review your assessment and develop an initial
student educational plan (SEP) while discussing your educational goals.
Option 2: Advisement Only
(This option is only available to students who have previously completed the Assessment)
- Check In at 7:45 a.m. in the CCR (Crafton Center- Building 6) Foyer. Please have a valid picture ID
(California driver’s license, passport or 2017-2018 high school ID card) and student ID # ready at
check in. You will then be directed to room CCR 219. - 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. in CCR 219. Advisement will begin promptly at 8 a.m. In a group setting,
a CHC counselor will review your assessment and develop an initial student educational plan
(SEP) while discussing your educational goals.
