Biography

Ryker the Roadrunner was hatched and raised Yucaipa/Redlands area. From a young chick, he always had a passion for running and would spend hours sprinting across the open terrain. His family and friends often joked that he was faster than the wind and that nothing could ever catch him.

As Ryker grew older, he developed an interest in education and started attending Crafton Hills College. He quickly fell in love with the campus and the community of students, faculty, and staff. Ryker found himself very happy at the college and felt a strong sense of belonging. He was particularly impressed with the dedication of the faculty members, who were passionate about teaching and always went above and beyond to help their students succeed. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely cared about their students' well-being. 

The campus mission also resonated strongly with Ryker. He appreciated the college's commitment to providing a high-quality education that is accessible, affordable, and innovative. The college also prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all students had the support and resources they needed to thrive.

Ryker felt very fortunate to be a part of the Crafton Hills College community. He found that the campus offered a wide range of academic programs, extracurricular activities, and community service opportunities that allowed him to explore his interests, develop his skills, and make a positive impact.

Now as the college mascot, Ryker can showcase his speed and agility during athletic events and campus activities. He is especially happy to support Crafton's amazing cross-country running teams. He quickly became a beloved figure on campus, known for his infectious energy and his dedication to promoting school spirit. He loved cheering on the college's sports teams and interacting with students, faculty, and staff.

Ryker's love for Crafton Hills College grew stronger every day, and he became very involved in campus life. He participated in various clubs and organizations such as the psychology club, theatre department, and student senate. Ryker also started volunteering at the college's community outreach programs such as the tutoring center and the campus garden.

Through his involvement in these programs, Ryker has found joy in helping others and is grateful for the many opportunities that Crafton Hills College has given him. He learned new skills, made new friends, and found a sense of purpose.

Ryker remains a beloved and iconic figure on campus. He continues to bring joy and excitement to students, faculty, and staff, and he is proud to be a part of the Crafton Hills College community.
