—Outstanding Alumna of 2013

Prieto believes the opportunities at Crafton, including flexible class times, were invaluable to helping her complete her education. As a devoted wife and mother, Prieto attended evening classes at Crafton while working full-time. Prieto transferred to the University of Redlands where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management. In 2001 Prieto started a bookkeeping, payroll, and tax business, Customized Accounting Services, in uptown Yucaipa.  Prieto has been very supportive of CHC and accounting students seeking to gain work experience in the accounting field.  Over the years, she has accepted a number of accounting students from CHC, as interns; “I love to teach them and I have to say that I have been blessed with some great students who have worked with me while in college. It is very rewarding to see the growth and success of these students as they continue in their careers.”  Prieto is active in the community, including the recent revitalization of Uptown Yucaipa. “As a woman, I am proud and blessed to have a very successful business that has grown greatly,” she said.  “I give thanks to God each day, because without Him in my life, I would not be where I am today.” Raquel has been married for 28 years and her husband, Guillermo has always been an entrepreneur and is a very successful business owner of Rick’s Barber Shop in Yucaipa. Preito is also proud of her four children.
