3rd Annual New Works Festival Playwright Competition
Publish Date: March 23, 2022
The Crafton Hills College theatre Department is seeking submissions for their 3rd Annual New Works Festival in both 10-minute and One-Act categories. With this year’s theme, “Messages and Memories,” playwrights are encouraged to write stories about dreams, passing along collective memories and experiences, or other associated topics.
10-minute play scripts should be 6-10 pages in length, and one-act length submissions should be 16-20 pages and not exceed 22 pages. First, second, and third prizes will be awarded in both divisions. Submissions are being accepted with a $10 per work entry fee at www.craftonhills.edu/newworks by Sunday, March 20.
Performances of the plays will take place from June to August 2022, with opportunities for playwrights to participate in a talk-back session on one of the evenings when their play is performed. Crafton Hills College is solely responsible for the casting and production of all accepted works. For more information, please send an email to craftonhillsnewworks@gmail.com.
