Evan Sternard, Counselor/Assistant Professor, is a published author
In March 2019, Kendall Hunt commissioned Evan Sternard to write a book to have ready for release this fall. For the next three months, Evan devoted his time to composing, Stress, Anxiety, and Well-Being: Navigating the Waters. Evan will use this workbook as a supplementary text for the two Stress Management classes that he teaches each semester at Crafton.
Available now at the Bookstore and soon on Amazon. Here is a summary of the book:
Do you believe that you have the capacity to change, grow, and develop into the person you desire to be, no matter how unpleasant your life circumstances may have been to this point?
Is an experiential workbook that can empower you to begin (or continue) your journey toward a life characterized by effective stress and anxiety management. You’ll learn about things such as subjective perception and stress, identifying and managing your stressors, and understanding and moving beyond codependency. At the same time, through such topics as cultivating happiness, effective communication, the Serenity Prayer and letting go of resentment, this workbook will encourage you to continue along the road toward emotional well-being and self-care, which provide the foundation for effective stress and anxiety management.
