Veterans Resource Center Outreach Success at Five Winds Country Festival
Publish Date: ,
At the 5 Winds Country Festival on October 11 & 12, the VRC outreach program saw a significant turnout of veterans with over 20 contacts of "real" potential students. This event offered a robust population of veterans who have children close to graduating high school or starting college for the first time. The 5 Winds Festival provided a friendly space for us to connect with resources, share stories, and build community.
Given this year's positive turnout, our goal is to continue with the outreach effort at the 5 Winds Festival each year. The festival serves as a great platform for Crafton Hills to reach our veterans and their families to access crucial resources, fostering a sense of belonging and support. By making this event an annual tradition, we can ensure that these important connections are maintained and strengthened, ultimately enhancing the overall well-being of the veteran community.
