Organizers at Women's History Month Event at CHC

In March of 2025, Crafton Hills College celebrated Women’s History Month with a series of events and activities honoring the achievements, contributions, and resilience of women throughout history and within our own community.

This year’s theme, “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations,” highlighted the power of amplifying women’s voices and fostering a strong sense of community. Thanks to the collective efforts of many, the month was both meaningful and impactful.

Featured Events:

  • Kickoff Celebration – A special video showcased women across our campus, including students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
  • Guest Speaker: Ann Martgan – The Senior Manager of the San Manuel Fire Department shared her experiences navigating male-dominated fields in public safety and emergency services.
  • Empowerment Through Movement – An interactive dance workshop focused on self-empowerment and expression, led by burlesque performer Lisa Swells.
  • Virtual Panel: Celebrating Female Entrepreneurs & Women-Owned Businesses (3/25) – Featured Erica Horan (Happy Camper Creamery), Jessica Hernandez (Crown Promotional Groups, Inc.), Christy Cooper (Feel Good Market), and Patricia Lock Dawson (PLD Consulting).
  • Movie Screening: He Named Me Malala (3/26) – A powerful documentary highlighting Malala Yousafzai’s journey as an advocate for girls’ education.


The month’s events brought the campus together to celebrate and uplift the voices of women, inspiring continued progress and empowerment for future generations.
