Honors Endowment
Enhancing Opportunities – Honors Endowment
Goal $1 Million Permanent Endowment to provide 200 highly motivated students with
scholarships, academic engagement, enriched learning environments, and research opportunities
every year in perpetuity ($40,000 per year*).
For 50 years, Crafton Hills College has enabled students to follow their passions and fulfill their dreams. The Foundation is raising funds to strengthen our programs and make education accessible. There is a straight line from your investment in Crafton Hills College and a brighter future for our graduates and communities. Donations are not for lights and overhead, but for direct support that helps students to be successful.
This program was established to create a pathway for students so that they can transfer to their four-year university of choice as juniors. Honors students work closely with faculty, participate in research conferences, and publish their original work. Students who complete the requirements of the Honors Institute earn Honors notations on transcripts, special acknowledgement at commencement, and have priority consideration for admission to designated universities through honors transfer agreements.
The Honors Institute has grown by over 50% in the last few years and most graduates are accepted into their first choice of transfer institution. Currently, the Honors Institute is limited in resources and can serve only about 120 students. We seek to expand the program to 200 to allow more students to participate in the enhanced experience available to them through the Honors Institute.
Scholarships play a crucial role in supporting students, especially those in programs like the Honors program. Offering competitive scholarships can attract talented individuals to the program and motivate current students to excel, creating a positive cycle of academic achievement. It’s a great way to both recruit promising students and ensure that they’re supported throughout their educational journey.
